Dr. Robert Wiebe has been chief medical officer of Dignity Health since 2008 and also serves as its executive vice president, leading organizationwide clinical efforts, including quality, patient safety, patient satisfaction, risk services and physician leadership development. He also has played a critical role in the development and implementation of clinical information systems, including a comprehensive electronic health record. Wiebe joined Catholic Healthcare West, now known as Dignity Health, after serving as director of the Veterans Integrated Service Network 21, which serves Northern California and a large section of Nevada. Under his leadership, it was recognized as the Veterans Health Administration's highest-ranking network in overall performance based on an aggregation of quality, access, patient satisfaction and business metrics.
