Dr. Larry Kaiser is an internationally renowned academic executive, thoracic surgeon, researcher and author who has served as CEO of Temple University Health System since 2011. He's also senior executive vice president for health affairs and dean of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple. Before joining Temple, he was president of UT Health, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he was responsible for six schools and a 900-member physician practice. Kaiser has served in a number of leadership capacities for professional societies and associations, and has been a director of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
