Dr. David Pryor is executive vice president and chief clinical officer of Ascension. As the system's senior clinical officer, he supports all of the organization's divisions and the more than 40,000 Ascension physicians and other caregivers. Previously, he was chief medical officer of Ascension Health, one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare delivery systems in the U.S. Prior to joining Ascension Health, Pryor was senior vice president and chief information officer at Allina Health System in Minneapolis. Pryor spent the first years of his career at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C., where he was director of the cardiology consultation service, the section of clinical epidemiology and biostatistics, the Duke Database for Cardiovascular Disease and clinical program development.
