Equitas Health, formerly AIDS Resource Center Ohio, is a not-for-profit community-based healthcare system founded in 1984. It serves more than 67,300 individuals in Ohio annually. Although there have been strides in combating HIV, there hasn't been a significant reduction in new cases since the mid-2000s. New infections are predominately in men who have sex with men who, along with people of color, are at highest risk of acquiring HIV. Research shows that Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is highly effective at preventing HIV in these high risk populations. This campaign has positioned Equitas Health as the largest community-based provider of PrEP in Ohio and the midwest. It also has positioned Equitas Health as a national leader on PrEP, by being invited to present on the campaign at national conferences.
