Hearing voices is a disturbing symptom of schizophrenia. There is also a lack of support and empathy for people affected by schizophrenia and related conditions. While there have been awareness and anti-stigma campaigns around schizophrenia for some time, this was the first initiative where people who have schizophrenia talked about what helps them and what they want to hear. The campaign profiled 18 people affected by schizophrenia-related disorders. To highlight the importance of hearing positive voices, dynamic branding was designed with bright colors moving to the sound of each individual voice. The campaign's initial scale was small, due to the budget, but this was boosted by contributions from people seeing the campaign, which eventually garnered a $100,000 grant for the next phase.
