Dr. Troyen Brennan, CVS Health's executive vice president and chief medical officer, oversees the development of CVS' clinical and medical affairs and healthcare strategy, as well as the company's MinuteClinic operations. He was part of a group of top executives at the company that led the charge to eliminate cigarettes and other tobacco products in stores in October 2014. The company has taken its anti-tobacco stand further under Brennan's leadership with its announcement in March of a five-year, $50 million anti-smoking campaign directed at America's youth. Brennan, 60, previously served as CMO of Aetna. Before that, he was president and CEO of the physicians organization at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. In addition to his medical degree, he also has a law degree from Yale and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University.
