Roy Beveridge
Chief medical officer, Humana
Dr. Roy Beveridge, 58, was named senior vice president and chief medical officer of Louisville, Ky.-based Humana in May 2013. He is charged with crafting the insurer's strategy and policies for clinical employees across the company. Before joining Humana, Beveridge served as CMO for McKesson Specialty Health, a Dallas-based subsidiary of McKesson Corp. Previously he was executive vice president and medical director of US Oncology, a physician-practice management company based in the Woodlands, Texas, that serves one of the nation's largest networks of community-based oncologists. McKesson acquired US Oncology in 2010 in a deal valued at more than $2 billion. Previously, Beveridge was co-director of the bone marrow transplant program at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va. Beveridge is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine.
