Craig Thompson
President and CEO, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Dr. Craig Thompson, 63, joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as president and CEO in late 2010 after more than a decade at the University of Pennsylvania. The physician's work on cancer biology and immunology has produced patents and research papers, including more than 350 journal articles. His career has earned him roles as adviser to public and private research institutions, including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, National Cancer Institute and National Institutes of Health. Sloan Kettering, based in Manhattan, added a second system to the fledgling MSK Cancer Alliance this year. Thompson said the alliance, launched in September 2013, was a recognition of the 'need to do more' through collaboration.
