Bruce Siegel
President and CEO, America's Essential Hospitals
Dr. Bruce Siegel has dedicated his career to public health issues. As president and CEO of America's Essential Hospitals, an association that represents safety net hospitals and systems, Siegel, 55, has used his extensive C-suite experience to foster its success. Since he joined the organization in 2010, Siegel has developed its strategic vision and launched the first safety net quality network under the CMS' Partnership for Patients. Siegel has held health system leadership positions since the early 1990s, including the top jobs at NYC Health & Hospitals (then the New York City Health and Hospitals Corp.) and Tampa (Fla.) General Healthcare. He would translate his CEO experience to research and policy when he was appointed director of the Center for Health Care Quality and professor of health policy at George Washington University.
