100 Most Influential People in Healthcare – 2016
Rank 58
Sarah Krevans,
56
President and CEO, Sutter Health
- Compensation: NA
- Years on list: 1
Her first job in healthcare was caring for the elderly and disabled. It was an experience that heavily influenced the way Krevans, who in January became the first woman to lead Sutter Health, views and wants to support the staff she oversees. At the same time, her ambition for Sutter is that it serve as a national model for providing the best care to all patients, regardless of ability to pay. Signs of success have already appeared; in 2016, four of Sutter's hospitals were top-ranked in the state by U.S. News & World Report, and six of its physician organizations earned top honors for patient care.
