Hemingway Hall is president and CEO of Health Care Service Corp., the fourth-largest health insurer in the country and the parent of Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in five states. In January, Hemingway Hall, 62, volunteered HCSC to be one of four private payers on the Health Care Transformation Task Force. The group's members have made a goal of shifting 75% of their business to value-based payment contracts. She has been CEO of HCSC since 2008 and previously was the company's president and chief operating officer. She also served as president of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, one of HCSC's subsidiaries.
