Bowen is president and CEO of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the professional association for healthcare's current and next generation of leaders. More than 40,000 industry managers and executives turn to the organization for career development and networking events. Bowen oversees the ACHE's $28 million budget and a staff of 100. The Park Ridge, Ill.-native was promoted to CEO in 2013 after a decade as the ACHE's executive vice president and chief operating officer, which included the role of chief ethics officer. She first joined the ACHE in 1992 as director of government relations. She also served a stint as deputy executive director of the Society of Actuaries from 2000 to 2003.
