Dr. Troyen Brennan is the executive vice president and chief medical officer of CVS Health, one of the largest pharmacy companies in the country and a major operator of retail health clinics. CVS Health stopped selling cigarettes and other tobacco products in stores in October 2014, a decision that was spearheaded by Brennan and other top executives. Brennan, 60, who previously was the CMO of Aetna, said the elimination of tobacco products in CVS stores "will make a significant difference in reducing the chronic illnesses associated with tobacco use."
