Dr. Susan Turney has been CEO of the new Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System for less than a year, but the internal medicine physician is no stranger to the organization. Turney, 62, practiced at Marshfield Clinic for 22 years, chaired its department of internal medicine and served as medical director of patient financial services. Before returning to Marshfield last September, Turney led the Medical Group Management Association for nearly three years. The MGMA represents some 33,000 healthcare administrators and executives at organizations where physicians practice.
