Risa Lavizzo-Mourey
President and CEO, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
Since 2003, Dr. Risa Lavizzo-Mourey has been president and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the nation's largest philanthropic organization dedicated solely to health and healthcare. Before joining the RWJF, she served as the Sylvan Eisman Professor of Medicine and Health Care Systems at the University of Pennsylvania. A geriatrics specialist, Lavizzo-Mourey also directed Penn's Institute on Aging and was chief of geriatric medicine at the university's School of Medicine. She previously served as deputy administrator of what is now the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and worked on the White House Health Care Reform Task Force, co-chairing the working group on quality of care. She also co-chaired an Institute of Medicine study on racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare.
