As president and CEO of Partners HealthCare, Boston, Dr. Gary Gottlieb leads the largest health system in Massachusetts with 12 hospitals, a role he's held since 2010. That includes Brigham & Women's Hospital, where Gottlieb, 59, previously served as president for seven years. But Gottlieb will soon be leaving his leadership role at Partners HealthCare to become CEO of Partners in Health, also based in Boston. Effective July 1, Gottlieb will lead the global health organization that helps to bring quality healthcare to impoverished areas, including the nations of West Africa where Partners in Health has recently been working to fight Ebola.
