Elizabeth Nabel

Dr. Elizabeth "Betsy" Nabel has been president of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston since 2010. She's also a professor at Harvard Medical School. Nabel, 63, led development of a strategic plan at the hospital defining a new model of medicine focused on innovation in care redesign toward population health management, research through life sciences collaborations, and in personalized therapies and translational medicine. The cardiologist is also an accomplished biomedical researcher whose work on the molecular genetics of cardiovascular diseases has led to 17 patents and more than 250 scientific papers.
