Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare – 2014

Cordova, 64, is a multiple-time honoree in Modern Healthcare's Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare recognition program. He was previously named to the list in 2006, 2008 and 2010. The American College of Healthcare Executives, where he has served as a governor since 2011, recently named him its chairman-elect. Before Cordova joined Children's Hospital in 2005, he spent five years in the Southern California region of Kaiser Permanente Health Plan and Hospitals, which is responsible for 11 hospitals and a 3 million-member health plan. At Kaiser, he first served as chief operating officer and then as president.
