As executive vice president of UnitedHealth Group and CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Gail Boudreaux is the highest-ranking female executive at the nation’s largest health insurer by revenue—$103.4 billion in 2012. Boudreaux, 52, manages 50,000 UnitedHealthcare employees across four business lines representing the health benefits for more than 83.7 million people worldwide. She joined UnitedHealth in 2008 after leaving her post as executive vice president of external operations at Blues insurer Health Care Service Corp.
