The joint venture health plan between Arlington-based hospital system Texas Health Resources and Aetna has named Cory Scott as CEO, the companies said Monday.
Scott most recently led the middle market and small group segments for Aetna's Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi markets. In addition to his role leading Texas Health Aetna, Scott will also lead Aetna's North Texas and Oklahoma regions.
"Since the health plan launched in 2017, we have accelerated our efforts to bring innovative product and service offerings to employers and members in the Dallas-Fort Worth area," Genevieve Caruncho-Simpson, president and chief operating officer of Texas Health Aetna said in the announcement. "Cory is the perfect addition to our team as he brings more than 20 years' experience launching and growing insurance plans, including provider-affiliated plans."
Scott replaces Jeff Cook, who is now the regional president for Aetna's Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico markets.
