Prior to OUMS, he served as Vice President and Regional Chief Information Office at SSM Health of Oklahoma for over 13 years. He previously served as CIO at Salina Regional Medical Center in Kansas and IT Director for Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Nebraska leading the implementation of clinical, revenue cycle and related systems.

In addition to Olson's Health Care IT experience, he has over 23 years serving in the military in both active duty and reserve capacities. His military experience is broad, ranging from AWACS, Cyber Security and Health Care administration.
