ModernHealthcareandtheAmericanCollegeofHealthcareExecutiveslast week celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Health Care Hall of Fame. Nearly 150 executives from across the industry attended a gala in Chicago in advance of the ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership. Two visionaries—George Caldwell and Sister Mary Jean Ryan—were the 2018 Hall of Fame inductees. Caldwell was a pioneer in patient-centered care and integrating hospital and physician services. Ryan, the first CEO of SSM Health, was an advocate for improving quality of care. Under her leadership, SSM became the first healthcare organization to win the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
