The risk of death for pregnant women is greater from tonsillectomies and childbirth than from abortion, according to a new report. But providers in some states still force delays and lie to women about the risks.
Doctors are more and more often prescribing apps. They might prescribe Reset, for instance, to patients addicted to drugs; the app was the first substance-use disorder treatment app to be approved by the FDA.
About a third of women working in medical facilities said they'd been sexually harassed in the past two years, according to a recent survey. "We know harassment is more common in fields where there are strong power differentials," said the researcher who ran the survey. "And we know medicine is very hierarchical."
