Modern Healthcare is seeking entries for its annual Best Places to Work in Healthcare awards. The program recognizes the top workplaces in the industry, those that go above and beyond to support their staffers, empowering them to provide patients and other customers with the best possible care, products and services while also promoting work-life balance.
On behalf of Modern Healthcare, the Best Companies Group, a Harrisburg, Pa.-based firm that administers "Best Places to Work" programs around the country, will conduct two surveys of participating healthcare companies. The first is a questionnaire for the employer on benefits and policies; the second is an employee-satisfaction survey.
The program is open to healthcare organizations in all sectors of the industry with a minimum of 25 full-time employees. This year's deadline for entries is Feb. 23. Participation is free.
In mid-May, Modern Healthcare will announce the names, in alphabetical order, of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare. A special supplement, including the overall ranking of the winning employers, will be published in the fall. Companies will be ranked on two lists, one for providers/insurers and the other for suppliers.
Back for 2018 are three breakout awards: the Healthiest Award, recognizing organizations that promote health and wellness through their benefit plans and policies; the Millennials Award, recognizing organizations that have the most-engaged and most-satisfied group of millennials on staff; and the Family Friendly Award, recognizing organizations that are doing the most to promote work-life balance.
