Baylor Scott & White Health announced several new leaders, including one chief policy officer and a chief strategy officer.
The largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas promoted LaVone Arthur to the role of chief strategy officer. Arthur, a 30-year veteran of Baylor, most recently was chief integration officer overseeing integrated strategy and partner relationships. As such, she was instrumental in helping Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare merge in 2013. Arthur is now in charge of new enterprise strategy in addition to vetting new partnerships for the system.
A 13-year veteran of Baylor, Kristi Sherrill Hoyl most recently served as chief government affairs officer. With her recent promotion, Hoyl adds the responsibility of overseeing the system's legislative priorities and government affairs. Hoyl previously served as the chief of staff to several Dallas mayors. In her new role, Hoyl also manages Baylor Scott & White's four foundations.
In other announcements, Nikki Moll was promoted to senior vice president of marketing and communications and Baylor added a new team member in new chief legal officer, Jennifer Settle Brown, who previously served as senior vice president and general counsel for Presbyterian Healthcare Services.

"These four executives have done exceptional work leading their respective teams both inside and outside our system, and I'm proud to have them at Baylor Scott & White."
These latest leadership announcements follow the July hire of Peter McCanna, who in September took over some of Hinton's responsibilities.
Hinton said the co-leadership model would help the 48-hospital system streamline communication across the continuum and become more nimble.
