The FDA approved Pfizer's Besponsa, a drug for patients with kind of advanced acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a blood cancer that often spells low life expectancy. Besponsa will cost $168,000 without insurance for nine weeks of treatment.
Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives are investigating ever-increasing multiple sclerosis-drug prices, which have gone up by nearly 500% since 2004. As part of the investigation, they're requesting information from Bayer, Biogen, Merck, Novartis, Roche, Sanofi, and Teva.
