When Righttime Medical Care first started urgent care in 1989, they began looking for a time-neutral electronic health record system that wouldn't be a distraction to the work. Instead of having a computer sitting between the patient and clinician, Righttime Medical Care wanted to implement a technology that could be used for every aspect of the patient experience. Additionally, this technology needed to be used across the organization's 15 urgent care locations throughout Maryland to serve patients every day of the year.
With the implementation of eClinicalWorks comprehensive Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Righttime Medical Care was able to streamline workflow with the use of eClinicalTouch on the iPad. The use of eClinicalTouch throughout a patient's visit allows clinicians and the care center staff to have access to the necessary information at all times. Righttime Medical care found that the implementation of eClinicalWorks' EHR system resulted in more efficient and streamlined workflows, from enrollment to the point of care and beyond. Patients regularly use the portal to access and review records of their visits and laboratory work. Having access to the necessary patient information allows for seamless patient experiences. eClinicalWorks has allowed Righttime Medical Care to develop bi-directional exchange of patient data with local payers and local health data exchanges.
Righttime Medical Care receives appointments through walk-ins, their call center and through eClinicalWorks' online healow™ application. Online appointment bookings have proven to be a feature that patients are embracing. In fact, Righttime Medical Care is receiving more than 20 percent of its appointments via online bookings, resulting in over 5,000-6,000 appointments per month. Lastly, leveraging the care center's surveys supported by the eClinicalWorks technology, Righttime Medical Care is able to identify all issues of importance regarding patient care to further improve the patient experience.
