Genevieve Morris has been appointed the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology's principal deputy national coordinator for health information technology.
Morris comes to the ONC from health IT company Audacious Inquiry, where she was senior director of health IT policy. In that role, she led strategic policy for the company and managed government affairs, which included helping clients meet meaningful use requirements.
Dr. Vindell Washington previously held the principal deputy national coordinator for health IT role, and he later served as the national coordinator for health IT.
Morris has worked with ONC before, writing and editing pieces of the Shared Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap, creating test procedures for the meaningful use program, and developing the health IT framework for alternative payment models.
Morris has a master's degree in political science from Temple University and earned her undergraduate degree from Northland International University.
