Dr. Hoda Asmar has been named senior VP and chief clinical officer of Adventist Health based in Roseville, Calif. In this new role, Asmar will be responsible for initiatives focused on maximizing the efficiency of clinical operations and improving patient services.
Asmar was previously chief medical officer of Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis, Tenn. She was also previously CMO at several other organizations including Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, and Edward Health Services in Naperville, Ill.
Dr. Suzanne Labriola has been named chief medical officer of Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa. The facility is part of Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network. She replaces Dr. Margaret Meals, who retired.
Labriola, 39, was most recently a hospitalist at several Allegheny Health hospitals.
Dr. Robert Bernasek has been named chief medical officer of Southeast Georgia Health System, based in Brunswick.
In the new role, Bernasek will oversee clinical operations at the two-hospital system.
Bernasek most recently served as chief medical officer at Hilton Head (S.C.) Hospital. Previously he was VP of medical affairs at New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital Center, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., and chief quality officer at White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital.
