Robert Allen has been named chief operating officer and senior vice president of Intermountain Healthcare. On April 1, he will replace Laura Kaiser, who has been COO since 2012 and who will depart the Salt Lake City, Utah-based integrated delivery network to become president and CEO of St. Louis-based SSM Health.
Allen is currently vice president of clinical and outreach services at Intermountain and CEO of Park City Hospital. He has been at Intermountain for more than 22 years, during which he's worked on hospital development, telehealth, home care and other services.
Allen is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a bachelor degree in operations management from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Utah State University.
