Chris Glenney has been named president and CEO of Tyler, Texas-based Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System. He replaces Lindsey Bradley, who will stay with Christus as senior vice president for group operations for Christus Health and CEO of Christus Health Northeast.
Most recently, Glenney, 42, was chief operating officer of the eight-hospital Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System, a position he held since 2016. Before that, he was chief administrative officer and senior vice president of Trinity Clinic.
He previously was vice president of operations of the clinic, which became Christus Trinity Clinic when Christus Health acquired Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics in 2016.
Glenney first joined Trinity Mother Frances in 1998. During his time with the organization, he has overseen the addition of new hospitals and clinics. He will continue to oversee expansion of the system.
“During my almost 20 years as a part of this organization, we have seen some wonderful and dramatic shifts in the healthcare landscape of East Texas,” Glenney said in a news release. Those shifts include local population growth and the introduction of new healthcare providers.
Glenney is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a bachelor degree in biomedical sciences from Texas A&M University and master's degree in health care administration from San Antonio's Trinity University.
