Thomas Strauss has been named president and CEO of Sisters of Charity Health System based in Cleveland. He replaces Terrence Kessler, who retired at the end of 2016 after serving as president and CEO of the system since 2013.
Strauss, 64, most recently served as managing member and co-founder of the CEO Advisory Network, a private consulting firm affiliated with DHG Healthcare.
He previously served as president and CEO of Summa Health System, Akron, Ohio, for 15 years. He retired from the system in 2014.
Dr. Joseph Weinstein has been promoted to chief medical officer of Boston-based Steward Health Care. He replaces Dr. Justine Carr, who retired in 2016.
Weinstein, a cardiologist, most recently served as chairman of internal medicine and VP of medical affairs at Steward's Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Mass. He also served as VP of medical affairs at Steward's Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Mass.
