How the Nov. 8 state elections will affect healthcare
Trump's victory will have profound effects on healthcare policy. So will dozens of state-level races, although Republican control of the White House and Congress may now determine the course of Medicaid expansion. Here are the governors' seats, statehouses and initiatives in play Nov. 8 in states that have resisted expansion and where new leaders might alter their expansion programs. Voters also had their say on citizen-backed efforts to tame drug prices, establish single-payer healthcare, legalize marijuana use and other causes.
