    Carol Haines, BSN, MBA, PM

    Vice President of Clinical Transformation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital

    Carol Haines serves as the Vice President of Clinical Transformation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She oversees the project management team for configuration and implementation of processes and population health tools.

    Before her time at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Carol was a case manager at CIGNA Healthcare and a process consultant focusing on pharmacy strategy at UPMC. She also served as a registered nurse at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center for four years.

    Carol received her BA in Nursing Science at Rutgers College of Nursing, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh's Katz School of Business, and a Data Analytics Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University.

    Jeffery Driver JD, ARM, DFASHRM, MBA

    CEO of the Risk Authority Stanford and Chief Risk Officer of Stanford Health Care

    Jeff is the Chief Executive Officer of The Risk Authority Stanford and the Chief Risk Officer of Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children's Health. He has more than 25 years of experience as a risk management professional and has managed the enterprise risk in community, tertiary and academic medical centers.

    Before joining Stanford, Jeff was the Chief Risk Officer and director of regulatory advocacy at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He also was president of ASHRM, and served on its board of directors and was steering committee chair of its JCAHO Liaison, Advocacy and Legislative & Regulatory Affairs task forces.

    Jeff holds a JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, an MBA from Cleveland State University, a BS in Allied Health Clinical Professions from Ohio State University and is an AHA Patient Safety Fellow.

    Jim Dunn Ph.D., DHA, DAST

    Executive Vice President and Chief Talent Officer at Parkland Health and Hospital System

    Jim is the Executive Vice President and Chief Talent Officer at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas. He oversees the Office of Talent Management, and serves as the principal strategist for their people-related areas including human resources, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and patient satisfaction.

    Prior to joining Parkland, Jim served as the Executive HR and Learning Officer at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He also acted as Chief Learning Officer for Texas Health Resources, and as National Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Strategies for the American Cancer Society. Additionally, he led the global HR operations for former President Jimmy Carter at the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta.

    Jim has a Masters in public health from Emory University, a BS in chemistry and macro-environmental science from Howard University, a DAST from Emory University, a DHA from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Ph.D in organization development and management from Benedictine University.

    Kurt Wrobel

    Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary at Geisinger Health Plan

    Kurt Wrobel is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary at Geisinger Health Plan in Pennsylvania. He is responsible for budgeting, expense benchmarking, pricing, rate filings, trend analysis, forecasting, reserving, data management, analytics for all product lines, and provides leadership in the development of strategic initiatives

    Prior to joining the Health Plan, Kurt was a consultant for Milliman. He also served as vice president of large-group pricing and underwriting and as chief underwriting officer for Humana. He also held positions at United Healthcare/PacifiCare Health Systems, HealthMarket Inc., and William M. Mercer Inc.

    Kurt earned his BA in economics from the University of California, a Masters in economics from the University of Wisconsin, and a masters of business administration degree in health care management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

    Pamela Peele, Ph.D

    Chief Analytics Officer at UPMC Health Enterprises

    Dr. Pamela Peele serves as Chief Analytics Officer at UPMC Health Plan, as well as the Chief Analytics Officer of their Insurance Services Division. She brings 13 years of patient care experience and 12 years of academic research experience to her position as the leader of healthcare analytics. She is overall responsible for data analytic activities, economic modeling, predictive modeling, and machine learning.

    Dr. Peele joined UPMC from the University of Pittsburgh, where she served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Health Policy & Management in the Graduate School of Public Health. She currently still retains her faculty appointments as Associate Professor of Health Policy & Management and in Psychiatry there.

    She has a BA in economics from Roanoke College, and a Masters and a PhD in economics from Virginia Tech.

    Paul Savage

    Chief Executive Officer, Healthcare Intelligence Chairman, Health Analytics Institute at Iona College

    Paul Savage is the CEO and Founder of HealthCare Intelligence, LLC, an organization that offers predictive analytics solutions for healthcare executives on strategic decision making and operational monitoring. He also is the Chairman of the Health Analytics Institute, and a Professor and Director of the Healthcare Management Program at Iona College. His goal is to utilize available data resources to improve the competitive position of client organizations while enhancing quality, product mix, and operations within and among facilities.

    Before his time at Healthcare Intelligence, Paul served as the Vice President at Healthcare Advisory Services with a specialization in predictive analytics. He also was in multiple management positions in hospitals, medical centers, and economics centers for over 17 years.

    He earned a BA in Industrial Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA in Executive Management from the Pace University – Lubin School of Business.
