Ascension Information Services, the tech arm of St. Louis-based Ascension health network, has named Gerry Lewis as senior vice president and CIO, a job he's held on an interim basis since July 1.
Lewis previously served the nation's largest Catholic healthcare organization as vice president of IT strategy and business development and chief data officer at its information services subsidiary, AIS. In the new position, Lewis oversees IT operations, strategy, project execution and service delivery.
“Gerry's commitment to the Ascension mission and values are evident in his day-to-day work,” said Robert Henkel, executive vice president of Ascension and president and CEO of Ascension Healthcare, a division of Ascension, in a news release.
Ascension recently launched a brand enhancement campaign to promote the 141-hospital system as a national healthcare organization. Ascension posted fiscal 2016 revenues of $21.9 billion.
