Aris Radiology, a Hudson, Ohio-based provider of professional radiology services, announced it has acquired Atlanta-based US Teleradiology, which it says will make the combined group one of the nation's largest full-service radiology providers.
The group will operate under the Aris name and will continue to provide staffing and radiology services to hospitals, health systems and other medical facilities with more than 250 radiologists interpreting an estimated 2.5 million studies a year across 400 client sites, according to a news release. Radiology services include on-site physician coverage, management and business development support, and 24/7 access to its network of subspecialized radiologists.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We are extremely excited about the combined expertise and resources of UST and Aris Radiology," said Carl Kozlowski, Aris president and CEO, in a statement. "UST has built a strong network of highly trained radiologists and a reputation for professional excellence, which will only enhance our ability to deliver the highest quality of care and service to the hospitals, physicians and patients we serve."
UST, a physician-owned radiology practice founded in 2001, provides staffing and teleradiology services to hospitals, radiology groups and other medical facilities around the country.
"We are honored and excited to partner with a group of integrity such as Aris," said Dr. Francis Ferraro, UST CEO, in a statement. "Our organizations have always been the most patient- and physician-centric providers in this space and this combination will allow us to bring greater speed and depth of resources to our partners."
Ferraro will join Aris' physician leadership team as director of physician and clinical relations and chief medical officer for its California operations, according to the release.
Aris will keep its Hudson headquarters and additional offices in Atlanta, Nashville and Tampa, Fla.
