Rohan named president of HCA's TriStar Division

Heather Rohan has been promoted to president of HCA’s TriStar Division, which includes 16 hospitals in Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee. She will begin her new role Dec. 1. She succeeds Steve Corbeil, who is retiring after 12 years with HCA. Corbeil has been president of HCA’s TriStar Division since 2011. He previously served as president of HCA’s 10-hospital Midwest Division.

Rohan has been with HCA for 30 years, most recently as CEO of TriStar Centennial Medical Center, Nashville. She previously held several executive roles at HCA facilities, including CEO of Aventura (Fla.) Hospital and Medical Center and CEO of Palms West Hospital, Loxahatchee, Fla.

Stephen Oglesby has been promoted to CFO of Baptist Health, a system based in Louisville, Ky. He will begin the role Sept. 1. He replaces Carl Herde, 56, who is retiring after 32 years with Baptist Health. He has been VP and CFO of the system since 1993.

Oglesby, 55, joined Baptist Health in 1993 and most recently served as VP of financial strategy and integration for the system. He previously served as assistant VP of finance.

Terika Richardson has been named president of Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago. She replaces Michelle Gaskill, who left to become senior VP at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City (Calif.) Medical Center.

Richardson most recently was CEO at HCA’s Retreat Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Va., a role she held for two years. She previously was COO for five years at HCA’s Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, Va.

Sabrina Heltz has been named COO of Ochsner Health Network, which serves the New Orleans area. She begins Aug. 29.

In the newly created role, Heltz will oversee data structure and analytics at the 28-hospital collaborative that includes six healthcare partners throughout the region. She will also supervise operational areas related to value-based reimbursement.

She is currently senior VP of medical economics and chief analytics officer at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.

David Russell has been promoted to president and CEO of Adventist Medical Center and Adventist Health Medical Group in Portland, Ore., effective Aug. 15. He replaces Joyce Newmyer, who will continue as president of Adventist’s Northwest Region, which includes four hospitals in Hawaii, Oregon and Washington as well as nearly 50 clinics.

Russell, 59, most recently served as senior VP and COO of Adventist Medical Center.

John Lechleiter will retire in December as longtime chairman and CEO of drugmaker Eli Lilly & Co. David Ricks, president of the company’s bio-medicines business, will replace him, becoming CEO in January and board chairman next June.

Lechleiter, 62, became CEO in 2008, nearly 30 years after joining the company as an organic chemist. He led the drugmaker as it lost patents protecting its all-time best seller, the anti-psychotic Zyprexa, and the antidepressant Cymbalta. Both drugs generated well over $4 billion in revenue annually before their patents expired.
