Joanne Inman has been promoted to president of Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Va., and other news makers

Joanne Inman has been promoted to president of Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Va. The facility is part of Sentara Healthcare, a system serving Virginia and North Carolina.

Inman, 36, replaces Terrie Edwards, who was promoted to corporate VP for the system's Peninsula and Western Tidewater regions, which include three hospitals: Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, Va.; Sentara Williamsburg (Va.) Regional Medical Center; and Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Va. She is also head of Sentara's life care and enterprise divisions, which include the system's home care and hospice services and medical transport services.

Previously, Inman was VP of operations at Sentara Virginia Beach (Va.) General Hospital for four years. She joined Sentara Healthcare in 2004 and was director of patient-care services at Sentara Leigh Hospital for seven years.

Chris Mowan has been named president and CEO of HCA's Medical City Dallas Hospital, effective July 25. He replaces Troy Villarreal, who was promoted to president of HCA's Gulf Coast division.

Mowan, 49, has held leadership positions at HCA hospitals for 20 years, most recently serving for three years as CEO of MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas. Previously, he was COO at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, and Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Jaclyn Mucaria has been promoted to president of New York-Presbyterian/Queens, a community teaching hospital, effective Aug. 1. She replaces Stephen Mills, who will lead global services for New York-Presbyterian, the hospital's parent system based in New York City.

Mucaria has served as COO at the Queens hospital since September 2015. She also was VP of ambulatory services and patient-centered care services. In that role she implemented the “We Put Patients First” initiative, an effort to improve the patient experience at New York-Presbyterian locations.

Daniel Jantzen has been named CFO at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, N.H. He replaces Robin Kilfeather-Mackey, who in addition to serving as CFO championed the health system's environmental efforts, earning it national awards and recognition as a “green” hospital. Kilfeather-Mackey will be pursuing a degree in environmental science, concentrating her attention in that field.

Jantzen has served in a variety of leadership roles in his 26 years at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, most recently as executive VP of operations and COO since 2010. Previous titles included CFO and senior VP of finance.

Leigh Anderson has been promoted to senior VP and chief information officer at Premier.

Anderson, 48, most recently was COO for information and technology services at the Charlotte, N.C.-based group purchasing and healthcare improvement company, which he joined in 2013. He will replace Keith Figlioli, who is stepping down as senior VP president of healthcare informatics. Figlioli will serve as an executive adviser to Premier during the transition through Aug. 31.
