Leigh Anderson has been promoted to senior vice president and chief information officer at Premier.
He previously served as chief operating officer for information and technology services at the Charlotte, N.C.-based group purchasing and healthcare improvement company, which he joined in 2013.
Anderson, 48, will replace Keith Figlioli, who resigned as senior vice president of healthcare informatics, the company said in a statement. Figlioli will serve as an executive adviser to Premier during the transition through Aug. 31.
“Leigh's proven expertise and demonstrated ability to operationalize informatics solutions make him the natural choice to succeed Keith and drive our business forward,” said Premier CEO Susan DeVore. “We appreciate Keith's vision and the foundation he helped establish, and we look forward to building our next generation business under Leigh's leadership.”
Premier, which has been diversifying since its late 2013 initial public stock offering, has seen revenue increase dramatically in its health information technology, analytics and services lines, according to financial reports earlier this year.
