    About the Webinar

If there is one word that has taken on new meaning for healthcare in the new era of accountable care, it is this one: risk. With the expansion of risk, the ability to predict needs and outcomes is more important than ever.

Predictive analytics has the potential to radically change healthcare, and the way that risk-based decisions are made at the bedside and in the corner office. But how can healthcare organizations succeed in an area where, for the most part, they have little experience and expertise?

Join Steve Tutewohl, Strategic Accounts Officer at Valence Health, and Tina Esposito, Vice President of Advocate Health Care's Center for Health Information Services, to learn from their experience in building successful predictive analytics strategies at top healthcare organizations. Together they will cover:

By attending this webinar, you will learn:

    • How to combine diverse health care data sources to generate predictive capabilities
    • How to align clinical, IT and operational teams to work toward the same goals
    • The top drivers of successful predictive analytics programs—and landmines to avoid

    Steve Tutewohl

    Strategic Accounts Officer

    Valence Health

Steve Tutewohl is Valence Health's Strategic Accounts Officer and his primary focus is to help clients design and execute their risk-based contracting strategies. Steve has spent 15 years at Valence Health leading the company's analytics and actuarial services, focusing on combining diverse health care data sources for the various needs of health care executives – creating the bridge between health care IT and business users.

In his current role, he applies his experiences to advise all client types including provider-sponsored health plans, Accountable Care Organizations, and Clinically Integrated Networks to meet and exceed their own objectives.

Prior to joining Valence Health, Mr. Tutewohl led a large medical economics team at Dean Health Plan in Madison, Wisconsin and was an actuarial consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago.

Mr. Tutewohl is a fully credentialed actuary and received his bachelor of science in actuarial science, math, and risk management from the University of Wisconsin.

    Tina Esposito

Vice President, Center for Health Information Services

    Advocate Health Care

Tina Esposito is the vice president of the center for health information services at Advocate Health Care, one of the nation's top-10 health systems and the largest integrated health system in Illinois.

Tina joined Advocate in 1999 as a statistical data analyst at Lutheran General Hospital. She has served in various Advocate system roles, including director of the Center for Health Information Services beginning in 2008 and was promoted to vice president in 2012.

Tina and her team are responsible for system measurement and analytics in support of improved patient outcomes and organizational performance. Tina serves as the Advocate executive for strategic oversight of the Advocate Cerner Collaborative (ACC), which has leveraged Cerner and Advocate resources to jointly create a population health management platform for Advocate. This platform includes a big data strategy, advanced analytical models, and deployment of these models into clinical workflow. Additional areas of responsibilities include data warehousing, HIM, and public data.

Tina has a Master's in business administration from DePaul University, Chicago, and a BS in health information management from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also is a certified Master Black Belt in Six Sigma.
