Steward Health Care System in Boston has failed to submit financial information to state officials on time for the second consecutive year.
The state Center for Health Information and Analysis, which collects financial data from hospitals and health systems in Massachusetts, fined Steward $37,000 for late filing, according to the Boston Globe. The 10-hospital for-profit system hasn't submitted data for 2014 and 2015.
The system also was late filing its fiscal 2013 results, which were due in April 2014. Steward didn't file the results until March 2015.
Steward spokesman Jeff Hall said in a written statement that the health system has been in talks with the state and is working toward submission.
