Greenway Health co-founder Tee Green is stepping down from the top office at the Carrollton, Ga.-based electronic health record and practice management company. He will stay on full time as executive chairman to focus on innovation and growth initiatives, according to a press release.
Scott Zimmerman will replace him as CEO.
Zimmerman previously served as president of TeleVox, a software company based in Mobile, Ala. He has also held posts at Merck, Boston Scientific and GE Healthcare.
He joins Greenway as the company prepares to unveil new products and services to aid population health management, revenue cycle management services.
Greenway Health is the result of several mergers over the past few years. In 2013, private-equity firm Vista Equity Partners acquired Greenway Medical Technologies in a $644 million deal that combined it with Vista's current portfolio company, Vitera Healthcare Solutions.
According to the company, Greenway partners with over 10,000 organizations and 75,000 providers across more than 40 specialties.
Greenway Medical was founded in 1998. During his time as CEO, Green helped the company raise a total of $87.5 million in capital funds.
