Regarding the online op-ed by Athenahealth CEO Jonathan Bush, “Cut the strings on software," unlike the societal enhancements of Facebook, Uber and LinkedIn, where technological efforts supported our continued socialization, many of the healthcare technologies often sought ways to replace and interfere with efforts to practice the art of healing, which in turn dehumanized the practice of medicine along the way.
