The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has been cited again by the state auditor’s office with lack of effective oversight, this time involving an estimated $835 million in Medicaid overpayments to doctors and hospitals.
Sterigenics acquires Salt Lake City lab company | Deseret News
Salt Lake City-based Nelson Laboratories announced Monday that the privately held company was acquired by Sterigenics International, a global provider of contract sterilization, gamma technologies and medical isotopes.
The Utah Department of Health and the CDC say they now have 16 confirmed cases of Hepatitis C, CBS affiliate KUTV reports. The cases are all tied to former nurse Elet Nielson, who was accused of stealing drugs from Davis and McKay Dee Hospitals.
