Jeffrey Ingrum is the new CEO of Scott & White Health Plan, an insurer that covers nearly 300,000 Texans.
Ingrum will begin his new job April 25, according to a news release.
Ingrum, 57, most recently served as CEO of the Carle Foundation's Health Alliance Medical Plans, based in Urbana, Ill. While there, he worked with employers, providers and payers to form an integrated system. According to the news release, Ingrum helped guide the Health Alliance's provider partners from fee-for-service to outcomes-based reimbursement.
“Jeff has a strong history of effectively managing and growing health plans to benefit both members and the community," said Joel Allison, president and CEO of Baylor Scott & White Health, in a statement. "His background in health plan and health care finance and his record of excellence make him a great fit for our organization."
Scott & White Health Plan is part of Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health, Texas' largest not-for-profit health system. It was formed in 2013, when Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare merged.
The system this month announced Allison will step down from his post by Feb. 1, 2017, and become a senior adviser to the system's board chairman.
