Bill Kottmann has been promoted to president and CEO of Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill. He will officially take the reins on July 1.
As president of the joint venture division of parent system Edward-Elmhurst Health, Kottmann, 61, oversaw physician and outpatient network development, as well as joint venture strategies and all real estate development and management.
He also currently serves as system VP of physician and ambulatory network development. In his new role, Kottmann will report to Edward-Elmhurst Health CEO Pam Davis.
Edward and Elmhurst hospitals merged in 2013 to form a not-for-profit system.
Since then, Davis has served as both Edward-Elmhurst CEO and Edward president and CEO. She now will focus on systemwide strategies. Mary Lou Mastro, the president and CEO at Elmhurst Hospital, will continue to serve in that capacity, according to a news release.
Edward-Elmhurst reported just over $1 billion in operating revenue in 2014, according to Modern Healthcare's hospital system financial database.
