Mothers worldwide leaving hospitals too soon after childbirth | ReutersA World Health Organization analysis of data from 92 countries found that women are being discharged from hospitals too soon after childbirth. WHO suggests that women stay in the hospital at least 24 hours after a vaginal delivery, but researchers found that depending on the region, up to 83% of women left earlier. The researchers also found that 75% of women who had cesarean-section deliveries left too soon, based on U.S. recommendations.
