Designated nurses, navigators or other clinical staff can play a significant role in discussing expectations and preventive strategies for these heart patients on the front side of surgery, offering support groups and information.
We know that our brain controls our feelings and emotions. We know that perception is reality. We know all about our limbic system and we know about depression. There is a need to place more resources before surgery when possible, i.e., not emergent.

However, keep in mind that product integration is not product innovation; innovation comes from small companies, while efficiencies come from large companies. The larger they are, the less innovative they become because they're concentrating on efficiencies. Innovation costs money, so revenue growth comes through acquisition. There's a lot of upside in this space.
