Cynthia Hundorfean has been named CEO of Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network. She takes over for John Paul, who will become a senior adviser to Highmark Health CEO David Holmberg.
Hundorfean joins Allegheny from the Cleveland Clinic, where she has served as chief administrative officer since 2005. In that role, she had operational and financial oversight of 25 clinical institutes comprising over 190 sites and 23,000 employees, with net revenue of $5.5 billion from clinical operations.
Jeff Patterson was named CEO at Nacogdoches (Texas) Medical Center. He replaces Gary Stokes, 66, who retired in December after serving as CEO for 10 years.
Patterson, 37, served as COO at Desert Regional Medical Center, a Tenet Healthcare Corp. hospital in Palm Springs, Calif., since 2013. Before joining Desert Regional, he served as senior director of business development for Tenet's Southern States Region, including 14 acute-care hospitals. He also served as COO and associate administrator for business development at Lake Pointe Health Network in Rowlett, Texas.
Nancy Keenan has been named VP and chief nursing officer at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.
She also will serve as the hospital's business practices officer and will lead Houston Methodist as it seeks Magnet redesignation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She most recently served as VP for Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas.
