Kevin Sears is the Cleveland Clinic's new executive director of its market and network services, the health system announced Monday, Jan. 11.
Sears' role includes pricing, contracting and direct sales; leading payor and employer products and strategy; and overseeing the Clinic's business relations with traditional health plans along with the Clinic's direct-to-employer program and specialty network, according to a news release.
“Innovative approaches are critical in today's environment, and I look forward to finding new ways for Cleveland Clinic to offer access to our quality care," Sears said in a statement.
Prior to joining the Clinic, Sears was vice president of payor strategy and product development at Trinity Health. He received his bachelor's degree in philosophy from Brigham Young University and earned his master's degree in health services management and policy from Ohio State University.
“We are pleased to add Kevin's collaborative leadership style, experience and expertise to our team,” said Steve Glass, Clinic chief financial officer, in a statement. “With his strong background in both provider and payor organizations, he's well suited to drive the design of innovative products and services that augment health care value.”
